I find the in advance online booking very helpful so it would be great if this functionality was extended to on the day booking. Mainly as it can be very difficult to get through on the phones in the morning. In my experience you can be on hold for 20 minutes sometimes even if you call at the 8-30 surgery opening time - to then find you have missed out on an appointment with your doctor of choice.
Dare I suggest that like many surgeries it can be quite a few days before you can see your own doctor, but to be fair my last appointment was not an emergency. In this case I was offered a call back within 10 minutes to consult with a member of the medical staff. This happened within the timescale and helpful and reassuring advice was given. Overall very good service, thank you.
GPs are good when you get to see them, but reception staff are frosty and not very approachable. I appreciate they are busy, but they could acknowledge you are waiting and say I'll just be with you, instead you feel like you are a problem. I made a further appointment after taking my daughter to see the GP, and asked if they could write it down and I was just handed an appointment card and left to fill it in myself. As I needed to see a nurse I was referred to another practice and when I asked where it was I wasn't handed a card with the address but told it was near NESCOT as though I should know. I didn't feel I could ask for any more help and that I was just an inconvenience. The receptionists badge said she was a senior receptionist, so I would have assumed she may have had some customer service training at some point. A poor service.
Appointment was on time.
Gp was caring and professional (as always) interested in me, not just symptoms.
I would not change from this practice.
Nothing for improvement.
